March 2022 Movies

It’s March and after a very long February, the month with the most anticipated movie of the year is here so let’s go through all or at least some of the big movies coming this month.

These movies will be available in theatres and some of them on streaming services, so without wasting anymore time let us begin.

The Batman

One of the most anticipated movies of the entire year hits theatres this month. The Batman will follow Batman in his second year as he uncovers the corruption in Gotham City which is connected to the Wayne Family while also having to face the serial killer “The Riddler”. The movie will release on the 4th of March then go to HBO Max on the 19th of April.

Apart from having some of the greatest marketing I’ve seen, the movie stars Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz who was recently in KIMI for HBO MAX, Paul Dano, Collin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jefferey Wright who was in Marvel’s What If series (my episode ranking here) and many more.

Early reviews have generally been positive and with a 10/10 from IGN and a score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, I think it’s safe to say this is top 4 best Batman solo movies. I haven’t watched it but if I do anytime soon, I’ll definitely review it so subscribe to see that and more reviews.

The Outfit

Starring Don’t Look Up’s (My review here) Mark Rylance, The Outfit follows an English Tailor who used to craft suits on London’s Famous Savile Row. The movie looks like it will have a great amount of drama and some thrill mixed in so I do want to watch it.

Alongside Mark Rylance, Dylan O’Brian who you might know from a little movie called “The Maze Runner”, Zoey Deutch who was in ZombieLand Double Tap and Nikki Amuka-Bird who was in Old.

Windfall

This Netflix original movie will see a man break in to a tech billionaire’s empty vacation home but things go wrong when thr arrogant mogul and his wife arrive for a last minute getaway.

The movie stars Jason Segal who you know from literally every movie from the 2000s, Jesse Plemons who was in The Power Of The Dog (My review here) and Lilly Collins AKA Emily In Pars. The movie comes to Netflix on the 18th of March.

X

Coming out on the 18th of March, the movie Stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow and Scott Mescudi. I hope this movie doesn’t disappoint those who see it.

Umma (Mother)

Starring Sandra Oh, this supernatural horror movie see’s a woman have her quiet life on an american farm take a terrying turn when the remains of her estranged mother arrive from Korea. I saw the trailer and it shows a movie filled with a lot of revelations, jump scares and some amazing acting from the great Sandra Oh.

The movie comes out on the 18th of March and I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch it but I surely hope I do because it looks really good.

Turning Red

Another movie that’ll star Sandra Oh, Turning Red will see 13 year old Mei Lee who is torn between being her mother’s obedient daughter and the chaos of her youth and well when she gets too excited she turns into a big red panda so there’s also that lol. I really like the animation style of this and it looks like it’ll be a fun and funny adventure so yes I am hyped to see it.

The movie will come out on the 11th of March on Disney Plus so that means you might see a review from me, I really think Disney should’ve given this movie a theatrical release because it could’ve done pretty great.

Everything Everywhere All At Once

Do you want a multiverse adventure before Doctor Strange 2 hits theatres? Well Everything Everywhere All At Once will give you that. An aging chinese immigrant is swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save the world by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led. The trailer shows a crazy action packed movie that’ll also be pretty funny and enjoyable.

The movie stars Michelle Yeoh who was recently in Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, Ke Huy Quan who was Data in The Goonies and Jamie Lee Curtis who you might know from those new Halloween Movies or Knives Out. Everything Everywhere All At Once comes out on the 25th of March.

Check out my review of Everything Everywhere All At Once

The Lost City

Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt in one movie? Yes please. A reclusive romance novelist on a book tour with her cover model gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat Jungle adventure. The movie also has Daniel Radcliffe (Yes Guns Akimbo himself) as the villain.

The movie comes out on the 23rd of March (my birthday) and the trailer promises a funny and action packed adventure with these still good looking hollywood stars, like seriously do these people age???

The Adam Project

Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo and the amazing Zoe Saldana star in this time travelling adventure film for Netflix. After accidentally crash-landing in 2022, time-traveling fighter pilot Adam Reed teams up with his 12-year-old self for a mission to save the future. This movie looks like it’ll give us another funny Ryan Reynolds perfomance with his role being kinda serious like The Mandalorian but replace grogu with… Younger Mando… WTF.

The movie crash-lands on Netflix on the 11th and you can definietly expect a review from me, I’ll watch anything with these three actors and also the trailer really impressed me.

Fresh

Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan, Fresh with show the horrors of morden dating through the eyes of a young woman battling to survive her new boyfriends unusual appetites. The trailer is pretty good tbh even though it doesn’t reveal much or get me too hyped, it does catch my interest and maybe I might watch it.

Fresh will release on Hulu on the 4th of March and it has some pretty positive reviews so I’d say add this to your watch list and maybe check out the first 30 minutes of the movie. Love seeing more Sebastian Stan movies.

After Yang

In the near future, a family reckons with questions of love, connection and loss after their A.I. Helper unexpectedly breaks down. The film is a more thought provoking movie that you’re meant to walk out of theatres having learned something, I don’t watch those kinds of movies sometimes but I think I’ll check it out.

The movie releases on the 4th of March the same time another movie starring Collin Farrell releases. Apart from Farrell, the movie also stars Joddie Turner-Smith, Haley Lu Richardson, Justin H. Min and Malea Emma tjandrawidjaja.

That’s It, that’s all the movies coming out this month that I found to be pretty interesting.

Which movie are you hyped to see? Will you be watching The Batman on the first day? What do you think about Ryan Reynold’s The Adams Project
