Archive 81 Cancelled, Sandra Bullock Taking A Break And More News

It’s Friday and I have collected 5 different news reports we’ve seen throughout the week and give them all to you in one single post, this include Netflix’s recent Archive 81 Cancellation, Sandra Bullock announcing she’ll take a break from acting and more.

If you enjoy posts like these then you should subscribe or check out the other news posts I’ve done in the past to read about what you’ve missed and more, without wasting anymore time let’s begin.

Archive 81 Cancelled

Archive 81

Yup what I expected has finally happened, Netflix has officially cancelled their newest and probably most interesting thriller seriesArchive 81” that came out earlier this year. The series saw an archivist hired to restore a collection of tapes owned by a filmmaker who was investigating a dangerous, archivist Dan Turner later discovers more about this cult and how it is linked to his personal life.

I reviewed the series when it came out earlier this year and called it a BingeWorthy Horror Series (Check out my review here) and with it ending on a cliffhanger, I was hoping Netflix would give it a chance and carry it over to a second season. Archive 81 was based on a podcast of the same name which you can check out here.

Sandra Bullock Is Taking A Break

Sandra Bullock will be taking a break from acting with her movie “The Lost City” and “Bullet Train” being her last of the year. The actress announced that she will be taking a break from acting to focus on raising her kids.

In an interview with Tracy Smith, the actress said her work behind the camera needs to take a pause until she doesn’t feel like wanting to be home every time she is in front of the camera. Bullock says “I want to be at home” and then added “So I’m not doing anyone any favors who’s investing in a project if I’m saying, ‘I just want to be at home.’ Because I was always running, I was always running to the next thing. I just want to be present and responsible for one thing.”

Nova Project in the works at Marvel

Marvel Studios is finally working on a Nova project and it is rumored to be made a limited series for Disney Plus which is both good and sort of bad news. The project could be made into a 6 episode series like every other MCU series that has come out so far which is sad because it’ll also be like every other MCU series which build up to a rather disappointing ending.

Moon Knight Writer Sabir Pirzada will be writing the series and Deadline reports that the series will probably focus on Richard Rider who was the first Nova in Marvel Comics. The Nova Corps have made appearances in both Guardians Of The Galaxy films and in Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos destroyed Xandar (where the Nova Corps resided) in his search for the power stones.

Voltron Movie Coming Soon

A live Action Voltron movie is in the works and will see Red Notice and Skyscraper Director Rawson Marshall Thurber co-write and direct the project. A bunch of studios and streaming services are currently in a bidding war for the project with Netflix reportedly not running in the bit.

Voltron is an animated television series that features a team of 5 space explorers piloting a giant Super Robot known as “Voltron”. The series was recently parodied by Rick And Mort on Episode 7 of it’s fifth season. I cannot wait to see what they do with the project because it’s a beloved franchise with a pretty good director attached.

Kid Cudi To Direct Netflix Movie

Kid Cudi will be making his Directorial debut with ‘Teddy’ for Netflix. The rapper say the movie will be like his song Pursuit of Happiness turned into a movie, his words were “It’s as if I took the ‘Pursuit Of Happiness’ song and wrote a movie about it.”

The movie will be produced by Jeymes Samuel and Jay Z who also recently was producer of one of the best Western movies I’ve watched in a long time ‘The Harder They Fall‘ which had an impressive cast and story, my review here.

That’s all the kinda huge things you probably missed from this week, which news caught your attention? Are you dissapointed in Netflix with their cancellation of Archive 81? Let’s talk in the comments about anything and everything
